I and a friend are traveling to and from Zagreb to Medugorje in May 2012. If we go by bus which route is fastest? Zagreb-Split-Medugorje? Or can I go straight through Bosnia-Herzogovina? How would I go by train if possible? And is it best to go by air? Thanks!
I believe the best way would be by a bus all the way to Split, then over the border. I'm not sure about the train. they tend to be late and pretty unreliable though probably it would be the cheapest type

Perhaps Plitvice national park, 2 hrs by bus from Zagreb? It gets very cold there so get some warm clothes if you want... more
