Zagreb to Serbia by Bus

How can I get from Zagreb to Novi Sad in Serbia by bus? I arrive in Zagreb at 17.00, so could I get a night bus to Novi Sad, or must I stay in the city and travel the next day?

    It seems that both direct buses to Novi Sad leave Zagreb in the morning (Zagreb bus station: www.akz.hr). If you prefer not to stay overnight in Zagreb you can take an overnight train to Belgrade and change there for a bus or train to NS.
