Bus connections to Bihac in Bosnia and Herzgovina

by HORSCHECK Online Now Aug 18, 2012 at 5:19 AM

Hello everybody,

On our coming Croatia trip we would like to take a side trip to Bihac in Bosnia and Herzegovina, maybe even for a couple of days.

So are there any buses serving a route from Croatia (e.g. from Zadar) to Bihac.

Any info is much appricated. Thanks a lot for your help.

Here is a reply to pretty much the question you asked, it is from another forum "Lonely Planet"

I really doubt there is a bus btw Zadar and Bihac (and forget about Zadar-Banja Luka).
My best bet for Bihac from Zadar would be to take the bus to Slunj (a bit north of Plitvice) and from there take the bus to Bihac. Buses between Slunj and Bihac are quite frequent, cheap and the journey takes a bit less than 1 h.
If you have some time between 2 buses, Slunj is a (small) city famous for its numerous waterfalls which makes 1 or 2 hours well spent.
