I am planning to to take ferry from Ystad to Bornholm and return ferry arrives back at Ystad dock at 18:30 and last train back to Copenhagen is at 18:47. Can we make it from the dock to the train platform in about 15 minutes? Or, to play it safe should we return on the previous ferry that arrives at the dock at 18:05? A Google map of Ystad looks like there is an indirect way to the train station from the dock along roads, we cannot walk in a direct straight line from the dock to the station which looks to be a short distance. Can someone who lives in Ystad confirm this? Also, are there typically taxis waiting by the dock that we could possibly take to the train station?
It's about a 3 minutes walk from where the catamaran ferry docks (Symbol A on the map) to the train station. bornholmstrafikken.dk/transp...

HansDK thanks for the very helpful info. although not sure to go for 18:30 return? If we miss it, I did not see any other way back to Copenhagen that night. Any alternates in case we miss the 18:47 train?

If for some reason the catamaran is delayed, the train will be waiting. It's a Danish ferry and it's a Danish train. The departure of the train is adjusted to the arrival of the ferry. It's an internal Danish connection from Ronne, Bornholm to Copenhagen (even it's going via Sweden). The slow ferry arriving at 18:05 is docking at C on the map. The 18:47 is the last IC train direct to Copenhagen, but there are local trains from Ystad to Malmo C until 23:10, and from Malmo C trains to Copenhagen are running every 20 minutes until 23:22 and then hourly all night.
