What are the average weather conditions in York, PA? What is the normal temperature for Spring Summer Fall Winter? What's the average snowfall. How much snow do you get before you delay school openings or close schools for the day? Thanks.

I live in New Jersey. But I consider York, PA to be in a similar climate. It depends on the year basically. Two years ago, we got very little snow. Last year, it was very snowy. On an average winter, you are probably looking at 3 snowfalls above 3 inches. It would probably take about 3 inches of snow to close schools. Springs can be wet at times, but nice. Autumns are the most beautiful time of the year. Summers can be hot and humid. Humidity in the east can be oppresive at times. The bottom line is that it depends on the year.

Hello, I'm from York and here my take on the weather. This year our spring Mar-May was lots of rain and cold but normally 68-75 and nice springs. Summer this year was quite mild only 6 days over 90 but it is pretty humid here; last year there were about 35 +90 days. Fall has started out quite nice. 70-78 with nights cooling of into the 50's Colder weather starts in Nov. being in the 30's. Jan - feb are the worst for snow and cold Last year we had lots of it 70" and schools were closed ALOT. 8 days at about 2" they will close and if it is icy even less. Schools close much more quickly now than back 20 years ago. However year before last only 1 snow day and very mild winter. It is quite unpredictable but is can get cold spells 0 -10-below at night. only for short times though. Any other questions about York, let me just ask
