Hi everyone! Has anyone stayed at the KOA campground in West Yellowstone? We are thinking about renting a cabin there for part of our stay. I'd appreciate any opinions! Thanks so much!
Hi. We tried once. It was full when we were going to be there so we booked Grand Teton North KOA instead. We had our tent and were put in "overflow" camping. It was a huge field of tents and the entire campground shared one bathroom building. There were long lines for everything. Cabins share the same facilities so be prepared to live slowly in the campground unless you are going outside of the season. We were there the end of July. It was easy to visit both Yellowstone and the Tetons from that campground, but if you're going in season, book early. You might also explore other options like Natl. Park campgrounds. nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/c... Good luck. It is a gorgeous area and worth exploring.
