Hi Sam, I can confirm what Valerij has advised. You should fly into Simferopol somehow (via Kiev), then take a (trolley) bus or a taxi. I have been there in summer 2003 and a taxi was around 150 UAH (around 25 EURO). You may eventually have problems with an overcrowded bus but of course a bus is much cheaper, yet takes 3-4 hours or so to get there and by taxi you will arrive in 90 minutes.

There is no airport at Yalta, the nearest airport is at Simferepol. There are taxi and bus connection, to Yalta. Buses travel very slow but cheap. There are some charter flights leaving to Yalta. But these flights might have too much delays.. You may use Kiev or Istanbul for connection to Simferepol.. Ukraine airways.. Turkish airlines has scheduled flights to simferepol from Istanbul also..
