Does anyone have any good recommendations for travel insurance? I am traveling to France for around 85 days and then I am going to the UK for three weeks. I have taken international trips before but the insurance company I used those times don't cover for trips longer than 90 days and don't allow for multiple policies covering one trip. Thanks, Becki
A similar question about the 90 day barrier cropped up very recently. I don't know if you are a student but I have remembered that some of my children, grandchildren and nephews & nieces who have done back-packing/ working visa trips aboard arranged their insurance for extended periods through a specialist student Association. I think it was Endsleigh Insurance but I haven't heard in mentioned by any of them recently. If you are in that age geoup might be worth making enquiries. Best of luck.

World Nomads is great and they allow you to extend your policy - http://www.worldnomads.com/

Endsleigh is, or at least certainly was, the spcialist insurer for young people. I am not sure however if they only cover UK residents or trips startng in UK. Not sure where Becki is from as she doesn't say but there may well be a similar optio where she is from if she is of the right age. I have heard people mention that World Nomads before with good things to say so that may be an option.

It would certainly help people make suggestions if Becki could give her citizenship/country of residence.

Agree absolutely about the importance of posters indicating where they are from and, if relevant, what passport they hold. I always check Member Profiles before answering and am dismayed to discover so many Stateless persons.

The UK Post Office has a long term travel insurance offer for trips from 3 months to a year which include a return visit home during that period. However I've no idea whether the policy can be taken out by non-UK residents (it's probably available for EU residents) and so the country you are coming from would be a useful piece of information. You didn't give age or citizenship. WorldNomads.com insurance will not insure anyone over age 67 from the USA. Don't know if that's a concern for you. If so, perhaps someone here know another company that will insure seniors.
