Hi friendly VT'r I have already adapter plug that I can use in Western Europe (France, Germany, Holland, Belgium etc). I am now going to Russia, Baltic States, Poland and Czech Rep. Could I use the same adapter plug as the one I use for Western Europe? Oh while I am on the subject is the adapter plug in Singapore the same as in Indonesia, I know from experienced, the Western Europe adapter plug I can use it in Indonesia. Your help would be greatful.
Poland, the Baltic countries and the Czech Republic took the same plugs as I use for everywhere else in mainland Europe (I need a plug adaptor for my UK plugs), so no probs there. http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm is an excellent site to help...it gives voltages and plug types and has photos of plugs too. Seems Russia uses the C type plug, like the other countries I've mentioned. Estonia apparently uses F as well, but my plug adaptors were fine there.

Sorry...not clear. Russia uses C and F. It was only by checking that I saw Estonia uses (just) F as well, but my plug adaptors were fine in Estonia (and Lithuania). Hope that makes a bit more sense! :-)

Thanks 4 the info. I had a quick look @ the search engine. The plug for the Russian/Europe which is Cee7/16 is the same as to German style Cee7/4 schuko, France style schuko, Great Britain shaver socket BS-4573 all non grounded. I think my Western Europe adapter plug should be ok.

I just had a look @ the site u gave me. Very helpful site. I still have the adapter plug for Japan (type A) and looking at the site I can use it for Singapore which they use type A. Also I can use GB adapter(type G)plug in Sigapore.

Yes, it's a really useful resource. UK-style plugs are used in quite a lot of countries...I'd forgotten about Singapore being one of them! :-)
