Hi, anyone had got online ticket to Windsor Castle. I plan to do day trip to Windsor from London on 1st Oct. Should we purchase it online or it's still okay to buy from there itself? Reliable? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.
Do you mean a ticket for the castle itself? If so, buying it from the castle website is fine: you'll bypass any queues (which probably won't be too bad in October, but even so). But you could equally well buy it when you are there: your choice. Official website: rceltickets.com/eventlist.as... (scroll down & then click).

A little tip for when you do visit. A lot of people stand outside the castle and watch the changing of the guard (all you'll actually see is a march-past of the band and the guards) and then go into the castle. So if you can arrive just before 11:00 you can avoid the queues to get in. It can take a while if you haven't bought your tickets on-line, even if there aren't very long queues - it took us about 15 minutes, but at times you can queue for over an hour. They can have over 5000 visitors a day in the summer, but October should be much quieter.
