Hi, we are visiting WP for the day in July, staying at Inverloch, can you suggest what we should do to get the most out of the day? Thanks

I only spent one day in Wilsons Prom, doing a guided tour. We hiked up Mt Bishop which was a wonderful hike. It was very hot, but probably you won't have problems with that in July. The landscape is great, and the views from the summit were spectacular, I really enjoyed it! We also visited Squeakie Beach. It is a funny place because the sand is so soft that it squeaks when you walk there. We also did a short stroll along Tidal River which was beautiful. The official website of the park has lots of info, I suggest you have a look there and also check for current warnings and safety before you go! parkweb.vic.gov.au/explore/p...

You are going travelling. Head for the main centre and do the walk to Squeaky Beach and return and the walk to the top of the granite hill, whose name escapes me at the moment but it's the one most people walk up nearby the main tourist centre. Again, make sure you take some warm clothing, it can get windblown down here, same as Phillip Island. Cheers, Ian
