We are hiring a rental car from Bozeman Airport in January and driving to West Yellowstone. We have booked 3 nights at Old Faithful Snow Lodge, and as the road will be closed, are wondering where to leave the rental car till we get back to West Yellowstone. We will then be driving on to Big Sky. We have the Xanterra snowcoach booked to take us into the park.
If you have a Budget Rent a Car you might be able to park in their lot in West Yellowstone. There are many hotels near the entrance to the park like the Holiday Inn that you might be able to get them to let you park at their parking area. The Park Ranger Station is also in West Yellowstone and they have a huge parking lot, not sure if you can overnight there, but in winter it may be snow packed for snowmobiles usage. Maybe the snowcoach company has a parking lot you can use. Check with them.

At that time of year you could actually park on the street for that long w/o anyone bothering it.
