I shall be joining a visit to Regis Bognor later this month, arranged by Merton Council in London for the elderly and disabled. I am 90 years old, minimally disabled, have trouble with steps without rails (which usually makes it difficult to use ordinary public transport. I can walk a fair distance, with rests. The coach usually drops us at a central point on these outings and we do our own thing for 4-5 hours. Any suggestions what I can do in Bognor Regis?
is there wheelchair accesable routes on horsham river walk as we new here but cant find much info on web or any maps as google earth wont work on my pc .thanks for reading. mark chamberlain new horsham resident.
I dont live in Chichester but have been there a couple of times in day.
A mate has asked me to be his best man (i am female) and he is not your traditional stag. Was thinking of a treasure hunt where geoup members who dont know each other are put into teams to go out with camera for evidence to different locations and have a pint, do something a bit silly or embaressing or just a photo outside a lnadmark. Had similar as part of my hen night in Brighton and we had to have photo taken with piano player in the Grand Hotel, Pints in most fammous gay bar, on pier and there were clues to get you to the spots. Any locals up for ideas and helping me out on this one???? Please!!
In 3 weeks, I will be returning to Crawley on business for the week. We stayed in the IBIS last time, but my business partner wants something (1) a little more upscale, and (2) within walking distances of places to eat and drink. Note that we will be there a week, so the preference is more than one place to walk to ;-)
I am looking at the Arora which seems to fit most of the wishlist, although the 15 pound per day Internet fee is ridiculous - that's got to be the highest hotel Internet fee in the world!
Anyway, two questions:
1. Anyone have recent experience with the Arora (I've already been over to Tripadvisor).
2. Any other suggestions in Crawley itself that present themselves?
The plan was to travel to the Goodwood Revival last year. The bombing disrupted our plans. I cancelled a reservation with this establishment well within their stated terms (I gave them over two week’s notice, where their Website stated a full refund of our 110 pound deposit if given a week's notice). After the fact, they have altered their Website to state “no refunds available for Goodwood events.”
The ongoing problem is fully documented with copies of e-mails.
Neither Marion nor Charles of Brimfast House returned any of my many e-mails over these past months. Fraud Squad is next...
Anyone else had problems with them?
Does anyone know of a car park at Gatwick where you can just turn up on the day of travel and pay as you leave the car park? I usually use Stansted....just turn up...park...pay on my return! But this time I will more than likely use Gatwick.. Any links would be appreciated! Ali xx
Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in Horsham? We would rather stay as near to the town as possible.
