Barney's Beanery is a quite famous restaurant, and it has a long Hollywood history in the Rock music industry. I used to include some of the Barney's stories on my Hollywood tour, - like the fact that Janis Joplin had her last Southern Comfort drink there before she died. Jim Morrison usead to hang out there, and so did Jimi Hendrix. Known as the rock star watering hole for many years. Look at the web site and look at the history.
I just looked, and learned that Quentin Tarentino wrote much of the script for Pulp Fiction in his favorite booth. This is afrer my tours in Holywood........d:o)

As "cult chain's" go it's ok. Depending on the day of the week and the clientel it can be rather boisterous. Food is ok; it's not AOC but it's a fun place to visit.

I was about to do an OP explanation on our flippant behavior, as so many of us know each other, - but then I looked first and found that the OP is an old hat on VT and will likely feel right at home with the rest of us inmates at the VT asylum..........d:o)
