I just found some limited information online about Winterfest. We will be in Munich in December and are planning a day trip to Salzburg. One of our travelers is an experienced juggler and might enjoy something like this. Is it an "open" sort of things, where you can wander the tents, or do you only purchase tickets for a specific show and there's only one thing going on at a time? From the English portion of their website it was somewhat difficult to be sure. Any guidance would be appreciated it. Opinions on whether it's worth it for the money are much appreciated as well.
It appears that many people suggest "doing your own thing" and skip the pre-packaged tours on the buses. What about the Hop On, Hop Off bus that visits each SOM site? You can get off and send as much (or as little) time as you wish at each site. The only place not covered is apparently the cathedral in Mondsee.
How do we get information on rates in staying at Schloss Bluhnbach?
Can I take a decent enough photo of the exterior of HohenWerfen castle from around the train station or do I need to get up higher? When I google the castle, I get some pretty cool shots taken from someplace slightly higher up. This is what I want to shoot, as well. Advice? (ps no driving, just walking)
How far is the walk from the train station to the ticket office for the castle and from the ticket office to the lift to the castle. I will have some older people with me and this info would be helpful. Thanks
