      Brussels-Paris?

      Belgium 10 hours ago

Is Thalys the only train to run Brussels-Paris. Are there other options for people who are prepared to travel a bit slower, but not pay so much (59 euros one way!). But please note: I don;t want to go on the bus. Thank you, Stefan

I'm visiting Brussels in April 2015, but I don't know anything about Brussels area. Can anyone kindly suggest me the nearest economical hotels/hostels from the fair's place? And how can I get to there from the Airport (and of course the way back to the Airport again)?

Thanks a lot for helping me

    • How much time to allow between arrival and bus departure?

      Charleroi Yesterday

I am booking a bus from Charleroi to Bruges and the first one is only 30minutes after my flights arrival. The next one isn't for another two hours. Is this enough time to get through customs and to the bus?

Airport transport to city Brussels City Centre

      Brussels Jan 25, 2015 at 12:23 PM

Next week we are arriving into Brussels BRU c. 20:15 for a weekend away. I've read that taxi transfers are expensive. I've looked at trains and the nearest station to our hotel is c. 15 minutes walk - Brussels Central station. We don't want to be wandering in the dark around the city when we don't know. We're staying c. 3 minutes walk from metro station "Anneessens". So, my questions (eventually!) are:
      1) is it possible to take a metro from Central Station to Annessens.
2} Is it possible to catch a train or metro from the airport direct to Annessens and
      3) is there a bus link that might take us close to Rue du Midi • B-1000 Brussels?
      Much obliged,
      Mardai24

      Short visit to Waterloo

by Chris_Bore Online Now Sep 23, 2008 at 4:46 AM

      Hello,

I am visiting Waterloo next week (September 29th - October 2nd, 2008) and would like to find something interesting to do in the few evening I have free.

I will be working each day.

I like walking, and was thinking of walking from the town to the Lion's Mound.

I have been to Waterloo before, but not seen much of the place itself. I did get lost walking to the railway station and so went through what seemed to be a town centre but I am not sure :-)

I'd be glad of any suggestions.

      Thanks,

      Chris

    • Is Antwerp commutable from Waterloo?

by bobbymonster Online Now Dec 9, 2005 at 9:06 AM

I am considering moving to Belgium soon, working in Waterloo. However I do not really want to live in Brussels after spending a weekend there in which the city seemed to be closed and having no 20 or 30 somethings. Antwerp is my preferred destination but I want to know is it possible to commute from Antwerp to Waterloo? It's 40 miles by road I understand but what is the traffic like at rush hour times? Can it be done in under and hour?

Your responses will be much appreciated.

I was able to get the forecast for Belgium and the other cities already. I'm not sure what day I'll be in Waterloo. Sometime between Friday and Monday. Thanks, Vanessa
