Not sure what you mean by good area - if you are looking at it for use during a holiday in DC, then it is close enough. The Metro stops are a bit far from the condo though so you'd have to be willing to make the walk each day. If you plan to rent to live there, then that would depend on what you are looking for in a place to live and how close your work is -- again, the walk to the Metro would get old in bad weather.

This area is just as near to Chinatown/Gallery. The area, and to the west and south are good. If you good a few block east or north, the area is mixed.
