Shamrockfest 2012

Hi guys . Myself and a friend will be coming over from Ireland for Paddys day in Boston and then Shamrockfest in Washington . I would appreciate any advice in terms of where to stay (hotels) and how to get to and from RFK stadium after ther gig which I believe finishes around 9pm on sat 24th march . Is it safe to walk the 2 miles or so along East Capitol St towards the White House and the area where most hotels are ? Thanks for any advice . Ryan

    Try to stay somewhere around Dupont Circle--tons of bars and restaurants and very central. Take the metro from RFK--there is one right there and East Capitol Street is not the safest, though i think with the crowds leaving the stadium it shouldn't be too dangerous.
