Outet Mall - Washington DC or New York

by tracyskf Online Now Sep 6, 2011 at 11:27 AM

Any recommendations for outlet mall near Washington DC or New York (Manhattan)? Will be spending 6 nights at each city. We won't be driving, so recommendation on outlet mall with convenient public transportation is appreciated. Thanks!

Outside of NYC, you can't beat Woodbury Commons. You can catch the bus from Port Authority(appr 1hr.) The ticket is appr33 and you can sign up online for the VIP club and print out coupons and the voucher for the coupon book(totally free to sign up) vs paying appr40(those prices are roundtrip.) They have a good sized food court at WC. Also, inside Port Authority, on the lower level, there is a "diner" where you can pick up something to eat before the trip. They open at 10am on non holiday wknds...but I always suggest catching the 8:30 bus so that you car one of the first peple there. Wc is always crowded... premiumoutlets.com/outlets/o...

Outside of DC, Potomac Mills is probably your easiest to get to using public transportation: simon.com/mall/TravelAndTour...

I second Potomac Mills - it is actually the most visited tourist site in Virginia. And it's just a big mall.
