I just recently visited DC (had a great time as usual) but I find myself in a quandry. At the ingress/egress of one of the Metro stops (Dupont Circle perhaps?) there is an inscription by Walt Whitman that really touched me. My son is a medic who is currently stationed in Iraq and the quote, in my eyes at least, seemed so appropriate. A wall hanging or plaque with that quote would be a wonderful gift for him when he returns home. I thought a quick google would easily find it but I'm wrong. I can't find that precise quote/poetry anywhere. Can anyone help? Thanks...Irene from Upper Michigan
The words in question are the last stanzas of Walt Whitman's, "The Wound Dresser". Try to google the title of the poem.
