can someone recommend a a good basic place to stay that provides transport to support the walking of the Tongariro Crossing.
Travelling December this year and will arrive in Rotorua at 1.00/2.00pm maybe earlier if we need to get there to catch a tour. Departing next day in the morning for the East Cape. Maybe go to Hells Gate in the morning when we leave. What suggestions of things to do in the afternoon and evening? Are there any afternoon tours etc? Also do you know of any accommodation that has undercover parking for motorbikes and air conditioning

hi there, just wana know someone could tell me what to do in auckland airport im stuck there for 12hrs for my next flight to hongkong.
I was travelling by bus from Martinborough to Featherston this morning - and on that short journey I saw 3 hawks. I am wondering what type they are likely to be - or if perhaps they could be of several different types.
I have been searching the train site - metlink - and it seems - to my horror - that there are no trains from Wellington to Featherstone with bus link to Martinborough on the weekends!!! Can someone confirm this? Thanks.
... with my aged mother who is not terribly mobile. We will be travelling by train and then bus from is it Featherstone? I'll have to check how all that works out. Thing is we need a cheap place to stay close to the centre, as we have no car, and she can't walk far. I am picking it would be cheaper mid week? If you can help, great. And thanks.
Can anyone please recommend some hotels to stay in whilst visiting Martinborough? I'm happy to spend up to NZ$120 per night (I need a double room for 2 nights).
