Hostels in Honolulu

Hi, I'm a 40-yr old Canadian guy travelling on his own to Honolulu mid November, I can afford to stay at a good hotel but think that would be boring so I am want to stay at the Hokondo hostel, just wondering if I would fit in there, if there are many others my age or is it strictly a youth hostel? Also, where are some of the better nightclubs in Honolulu for the "older" crowd? Thanks.
