Where can we stay ?

During our November trip in Texas, I am thinking to stay in Waco. What could be the best area to stay ? Our criterions : - nice neighborhood : restaurants, shops, - safe - hotels with parking. Do you advice a good hotel in this area ? That means : - 100$ or less - clean - with a free parking Thanks RAY

I have stayed at the La Quinta Inn near Baylor University and it is very nice.
