Would anyone know how late the ferry to Breskens runs in June 2008? We are planning on taking the train from Amsterdam to Vlissingen and then taking the ferry over to Breskens to board a sailboat in the harbor. Also, would anyone know the cost for foot passengers: 1 adult, two 15 year olds? Thanks.
It's a 3 minute walk from Vlissingen train station to the Vlissingen ferry. The boat trip is 33 minutes. A single trip is 2,55/1,60 euro for adult/child under 12. The ferries run twice per hour, at 17 and 52 minutes past every hour. From 6.52 am to 9.52 pm, and additionally at 5.42 am, each weekday. Weekends, the first ferry leaves at 7.52 am. Weekdays, the ferries run once per hour from 7.52 pm. Weekends, the ferris run once per hour from 5.52 pm. So far for the schedule. There has been known trouble with the ferry boats and sometimes only one is in operation, cutting down service to half. Be aware that at rush hours people with monthly passes has the right of way to people with day tickets only. In the case there“s no service (storm), there will be an alternative transport by bus, but the travel time can be up to 1 hour in that case. PJ
