    • help identifying photos of churches, etc. in St. Petersburg Russia

      Russia Feb 2, 2016 at 3:02 PM

I have seen a lot of matches searching to identify other photos, but I have been unable to match these with anything.  Two are obviously churches.  The bell tower appears to go with the church.  The other two are simply unknown.  Any help would be appreciated.

Flight from Denmark to Skt Petersborg and flight from Moskva to Denmark

It looks like it is not so easy to travel by yourselves in Russia. As a Dane er need visa, fingerprint, invitation and insurance. More??? Of course easier if you by a travel agency. Train from skt petersburg to Moskva. Is it possible to hope on and off. Visit historical, cultural places

Where to stay and what to visit

Do you have other suggestions for such a trip?

We are all 65 years. Do you get reduces prices in Russia? Train?

      Have a nice sunday

    • Are Australians welcome?

      Russia Jan 29, 2016 at 7:08 AM

My husband and i will be visiting St Petersburg and Moscow for the first time in August. We are extremely excited. Unfortunately when we told friends and family the response was that we would not be welcome or safe in Russia. I don't feel this is true but I guess I am looking for reassurance. I also am on a medication ordered by my Doctor called escitalopram. I need to know that this is a legal medication in Russia. I would like to dress in a manner that is respectful to the Russian people while we are there. Is there anything I need to know to do this. Any help with theses questions will be greatly appreciated, especially the medication question.

Help bored man to Murom, Russia :)

      Murom May 24, 2014 at 11:58 AM

      Hi,
I'm Planing to go to Murom from Helsinki, Finland so i should get information how to continue from Moscow. Flights i have checked already. And surely if someone has knowledge how to get discounts of trains, buses etc i would be the most happy to hear :). Also some places where locals go for lunch or snacks on the way and there would be needed. I support those places cause food products changes all the time to fresh while hotel food might be days old And local, mostly not that wealthy gets some benefit of my visit in their area.

Does anyone have any idea as to whether the Pokrovskaya Hotel in the monastary is still taking guests for over night stays? Will be there on July 3rd or 4th. If not are there any quaint less expensive places to stay? for 2 adults

Suzdal' and Vladimir in one day

      Suzdal' Jun 1, 2009 at 10:00 PM

      Hi,
My friend and I are going in Moscow in early August for a week. Besides Moscow we would like to visit Vladimir and Suzdal' on our own by train or bus, but I'm totally confused with shedules of buses as here mostransavto.ru/?page=avshel.... Which bus should we take to get Suzdal' from Moscow, then Suzdal'-Vladimir, Vladimir-Moscow? We think to spend two-three hours in each city and return in Moscow in the evening.
We will be glad to hear any suggestions and tips to improve our route!
      Thank you in advance!!!

I would like to know about what kind of travel converter to purchase for a trip to Russia. We will fly to Moscow on Jan. 28, 2006, and then on to Vladimir Jan 31, where we will stay about two weeks.

I just want to bring a coupleo f small appliances, such as a waterpik and a hairdryer, so I don't want to buy something very expensive if I don't need it

I am just wondering the probability of aquiring bottled water in Suzdal that contains no gas meaning not carbonated? I am due to be there for an armwrestling meet in November. Thanks
