Foodie Recommendations for Visby wanted

i like food markets, authentic food, off the beaten track areas, pubs, etc. Will be in visby in August

    You won't find that in the city, particularly not during the tourist season. You will have to go to more remote parts of the island. Get away at least 10km from Visby and you will find the genuine Gotland.

    Agree! It's the same pizza and falafel all year round. ;D Restaurant Lindgården in Visby is fairly genuine, though, but expensive.

    Haha, well...Sweden's falafel capital is Malmö, not Visby! On Gotland, I would go for the local saffron pancake! As for off the beaten path...you will find farms scattered around the countryside (if you bike or drive) with all sorts of specialities.
