Help in getting from Villefranche France to local villages

by luzzi Online Now Jun 30, 2005 at 11:17 AM

We are going to be in Villefranche in August and would like to visit the local villages of Saint Paul de Vence and Saint Jean Cap Ferrat and possibly Eze. Does anyone know the quickest route to these towns from Villefranche? It looks as though they are very close to Villefranche.

From Villefranche to St Jean Cap Ferrat, the quickest way is on foot - its walking distance, from the end of the beach by the connecting Avenue Louise Bordes.

I assume you are looking for public transport. St Paul de Vence is a different proposition. Take the TAM 100 bus to Nice Gare Routiere and pick up another coach 400 or 420 for St Paul. Its not close to Villefranche and its inland, without rail connection. Allow an hour.

Eze you could always catch the train from Villefranche a couple of stops to Eze bord du Mer and walk the Nietsche path uphill a few kilometres to Eze itself. Or its locate where the Eze TAM bus heads on up inland.

    Good hunting
