We will be visiting Hanoi and Hue by cruise ship in March of 2014 and are looking for an English speaking guide for four to eight people. Any suggestions / references would be appreciated. Thanks
I am interested in architectural tours in English. If there are no tours, does HCM have a district or neighborhoods with Nouveau Architecture?
I heard there is a bus from Phu quoc to Bangkok.with an overnight stay
Is there also a bus from Bangkok via Kep and Ha tien including the ferry from Ha tien to PQC ?
where does it start in BKK and where can you buy the tickets.
Hi there, I am intending to travel in HCMC for 4 days around mid May. Will it be safe for a female to get around herself? (: I don't speak Vietnamese & is slightly concerned about that. If not, could you pls recommend how I could get a female guide w me for 3 days, or arranged day trips at hostels if possible? Thank you so much for your help!
Hi, we're planning our trip in june for a month. We know in June in can get quite rainy in Vietnam. Do you think we should consider another destination? or is it tolerable? Thanks!
I will be in Hanoi next month for about 10 days. I will be making calls so I will need a prepaid phone. Can I purchase one at the airport? Are they readily available in the city?
Hi during what day and what time can we see the water puppet show? and how to go there from Pham Ngu Lao?
how much we must pay to travel guide for 3 days?
Next month I will go to Danang.
What are the interesting things to see in Danang ?
If I have a one full day, is it possible for me to go to My Son and Hoi An with a private tour and back to Danang ?
If I have to choose, which one is better: go to My Son or go to Hoi An ?
We will be visiting Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City next year by cruise ship. I know this is not the best way to visit a country, but because of physical limitations it is the most practical method for at least one member of our group. I also don't like tours arranged by the ship – they are usually rip offs and not too interesting. I understand that the ship docks 2 to 3 hours away from the cities. Does anyone have recommendations for a tour guide or service that will pick us up at the ship and take us into the city and provide a tour and some sightseeing. We will probably stay overnight in at least one or two of the cities, rather then return to the ship. Any idea about what this might cost? I would appreciate any help or comments you may have. Thanks.
I am going to visit Vietnam for a week - arriving Hanoi on May 3 and leaving on May 10.
Any advice on trip planning is appreciated.
If someone wants to meet or join - you are welcome. :)
P.S. I am thinking of visiting Ha-Long, Cat-Ba and Sa Pa. Isn't it too much for one week?
were traveling vietnam on May 1, i take a medium size suitcase because i can't wear a backpack and we will be traveling around the country by public buses or train
Will be in Phu Quoc in 3 weeks and we are staying at Cassia Cottage. Can someone tell me if you can walk to the night markets from here? Also my hubby & I wanted to hire a motor bike - semi or automatic . Is it better to hire one each or should I ride pillion. I have ridden in Hoi An hinterland before. Where is the best place to hire and the cost per day? Also where can I get a map to ensure that we can ride around the whole island without getting lost? Any other tips would be most appreciated.
I have already prepaid for my accomodation in Hanoi. The staff member that arranges the tours through the hotel is also a travel agent. He told me that I could pay by cash or credit card when I check-in or check-out of the hotel. After supplying him with a date of when I would like to go on the overnight Halong Bay trip, he has now emailed me a form and wants me to fill in my credit card details. After what he has told me before, do you think this sounds odd? After all, I will be checking into the hotel 5days before the scheduled Halong tour and can pay him by credit card when I arrive. I definitely won't supply him with my credit card details via email !!!
Any art classes in Vung Tau? drawing, painting, sculpting with model?
I am travelling to Hanoi soon and would like to know where I can buy nail art decoration products in particular nail foils and nail foil adhesive? In Australia I have only found one place that has a huge range and I would still have to mail order it so I thought I'd wait and see what Hanoi had to offer. Most travel guides discuss beauty salons but I do my nails myself. I am looking forward to my trip because I've never been there.
I am also considering the 2 Day 1 Night V'Spirit Classical Cruise for my husband and I due to the excellent reviews on trip advisor. What do other VT members suggest as we only have a budget of around $100 per person for that ?
Is there anyone with recent experience in renewing a 3 month Vietnamese visa? I have heard that travel agents can be quick and reasonably cheap
please sent me the prices for van or mini bus for 14 passanger. Emai add: firstname.lastname@example.org
Travel date 27 april 2013 tq
Where to hire or take a motorbike tour near Hanoi?
Myself and the girlfriend are heading to Vietnam in June for two weeks. One of the main things i want to do is tour the areas around Sapa, or Ninh Binh (or any other areas people recommend!) by mo-ped/motorbike for 2-4 days. The guided tours seem relatively expensive when considering the cost of simply hiring a bike.....So are there any areas that people have ridden around and felt comfortable on bikes without using a tour guide? Or would you suggest taking a guided tour, if so, which are the best companies to use and how much? Thank you!! :D

I want to check out the Mekong delta in end of May. Love photography and want to explore the floating markets and life on the Mekong. Can Tho markets are an early start so i know to head down the day before.
My question is do i book local tour for two nights in Can Tho
or get local bus and own accomodation?
Look foward to hearing your feedback on ways to explore the Delta.
Hello!Well I have an idea of going around HCMC wearing an Ao Dai when I go there end of April. Do you happen to know where I can buy one? I know the best Ao Dai makers are in Hoi An but I do hope I could find a good and affordable Ao Dai in HCMC. Thanks!~Haydee
