Hi experts :-) is it possible to go to Soc Trang on that day from Ho Chi Minh airport and find a family friendly place to stay to 3 persons ? Thank you !
I know You want to experience a Tet in VN. It's a clever idea when you choose Mekong Delta.But I dont think when you knock some house and say blah blah...and they let you in.So I Think it's difficult to find a family place to stay in several days of Tet. But people live in Mekong Delta is very friendly,nice, kindly, if you have a vietnamese friend who can introduce you to or arrange a place to stay for u, it will easier.so In that case you can go to straight to Soc trang from HCMC. Hello ... I'm vietnamese. It's impossible if you find a family friendly place to stay without tour agency. Just only tour agency could help you to find a family to stay in Soc Trang. More than that, Mekong Delta people dont know how to speak english. so the better way is to go there with tour guide.

I think if you don't want to join with tour operator you should choose the way find your vietnamese friend then they can let you in their family during Tet... that should be a real experience for you to visit Vietnamese new year! If you are in the north maybe I can help you but in Soc Trang I do not have any friends... Good Luck!
