How to get to La Gi and general bus transport

Is there any webpage where I could check the bus schedules in Vietnam (in English)? I am looking particularly for a bus from HCMC to La Gi beach but would be helpful if I could find more connections to other places as well for my backpacking trip. And also what is the best way to find accomodation in Vietnam? Should I book ahead or will I be able to find something on the spot? When traveling in China I was always directed from one hostel to another on my way, which I found very handy. Anything like that to be seen in Vietnam as well? Thanks in advance.
