Hi, I'm going to travel alone to HCMC for 4 days this April and I am thinking of staying at Blue River Hotel. Is this a good place to stay?

I believe the Blue River to be excellent, but I have never stayed there. I always stay at it's neighbor hotel - the Bich Duyen, and for a very good reason. The Bich has the world's greatest young hotel manager, and hotel staff are extremely valuable in this country. Once I left a debit card at the Bich Duyen, and did not discover the loss until my plane landed in Hanoi later that same day. The manager handled the situation with ease, and expressed my card up to me in Hanoi in a matter of hours (he literally saved my vacation). The Blue River and Bich Duyen are yards apart in distance, but I believe the Bich to be the better choice.

Thanks for that advice! Unfortunately Bich Duyen has no available rooms on my chosen dates :(
