Vieques in May and June without Air Conditioning???

by almar0sa Online Now Apr 29, 2010 at 8:16 AM

Hi Im wondering how humid it gets in Vieques in May and June

Can you fall asleep with a few fans on? does the temperatures cool down at night?

Do you think jumping in the pool before going to bed will be enough to cool me down?

the owner of the place we are renting says it gets hot but they get trade winds because its on a hill..

Also, What are some ways to stay cool without air conditioning

Just returned from Vieques. We rented a house, but did have air conditioning in the bed rooms which worked out nice. The main part of the house did not have a/c, but it stayed cool enough during the day to at least nap on the couch. You could probably get by without a/c and not have any problems, but it all depends on where the house is actually located. Even though it might be on a hill, there could be a house directly in front of your which would block the wind. For our trip, the humidity was about 75%. In town, it was hot because the buildings blocked most of the breezes. I think if you do your best not to get sun burned, you should be ok.
