I have read that May is one of the rainiest months on Vieques but does that mean there is no sunshine or that the sun shines between showers. We usually travel to the caribbean in May but obviously we want to have decent weather when we visit Vieques. Thanks!
Being in the Caribbean, the weather is pretty much as you would expect. Showers popping up in the afternoon, but clearing after 10-15 minutes. The one thing I would caution folks about is that if you are staying up in the hills and it's raining, it may be totally sunny at the beach 3 miles away! Lots of times the rain clouds follow the center ridge of the island.
