Hi, plans have changed drastically in the past few days, as they do when travelling for long periods of time. Now the plan is to leave from Vientiane January 3rd for Cebu city. I can't find a flight for cheaper than630 USD. This is ridiculous. My budget is severly low. Can anyone give advice on the cheapest way to get from Laos to the Phillippines. City destinations are flexible and so are dates within a week of the 3rd. Thanks VT'rs
Hi there, Can you get yourself down to Bangkok? I know I took the train service which was very nice and not so expensive. it's just that you have a lot more choice of flights. I found a flight for you to Cebu from Bangkok on the 3rd January for under300US. This was with Cebu Pacific Air. Philippine Airlines will charge almost double this fare, about500US. Good luck with it all and happy travels.

A regular Thai Air flight out of Bangkok is under400 U.S.

HI! A possible convoluted way: Fly out of Vientiane via budget airline Air Asia (http://www.airasia.com) to Kuala Lumpur and from Kuala Lumpur via low cost airline Cebu Pacific to Cebu (http://www.cebupacificair.com/) Check out for deals! Good luck!
