A friend and I are planning a trip to Vienna around 10/25-10/27/28. We'll be coming in by train from Prague. Is a stop in Bratislava worth it? Is that enough time to cover the city/major attractions? Can we squeeze in a day trip to Salzburg or would that be cutting it too close? If it's worth it we can extend our trip by a day. We'd be happy to receive hotel and restaurant recommendations. Thanks
Just my opinion but I'd spend the full time in Vienna and skip Bratislava. Or play it by ear, you can easily daytrip by train between the two if you decide that you've seen enough of Vienna. I thought the hydrofoil wasn't worth the money to go between the two of them, the scenery is rather dull and the train is much cheaper.
