Are there bike rentals at versailles? If so, where are they, and what's the cost? Thanks
You can rent them at the Gare des Chantiers in Versailles, cost depends on how long you want them for but for one day, €12, see phebus.tm.fr/page.asp?val=ve... As you have to leave your ID card/passport, I would advise you to take a photocopy of it with you so that you can carry the photocopy; you are supposed to carry official ID at all times in France.

I wouldn't leave your passport behind anywhere. Precisely for the fact that you are obliged to carry ID always. And also because your national law will probably not allow you to give away your passport. Rather: give the photocopy to the rental. But leaving the number of your ID should suffice. Or try the bike rental at the Porte de Saint Anthonie (as I replied in my other post).
