Hi All, I'm planning a citytrip to Italy early november with some friends. We are thinking of coming to Verona. Is there still enough "life" in the city this time of year.
I haven't been able to find a regional bus timetable for Verona online. I am arriving by British Airways on a Sunday [12.05] and want to get to Mira by bus [or train]. Is seems that I need to get from the airport to the central rail station where there is a bus station. Can anyone kindly direct me to online information about busses and costs or otherwise provide me with an answer. Many thanks.
I will be in Verona for only one day, please can someone give me some direction as to what is a must to see on a limited time schedule. Thank you Dee Freeman

Hi :) Brand new on this forum, I've been reading already a lot of very interesting posts. I'm wondering how to get to Albisano (next to Torri Del Benaco) from Verona VBS'airsport... The shuttle to Porta Nuova Station then the bus line 62 - 64- 69? Also to visit around the lake or going to Verona, is hitch- hiking ok? (we are two women in their forties) About the budget, for 12 days: 2 or 3 days in Verona, (only) one in Venise, and the rest in the village and around, without accommodation, by public transport. How much do you think I should have minimum? Thanks a lot :)

Hi Guys, I am going to Milan from Venice, but since I noticed Verona is very close, I decided to stop by a couple of hours. Do you think that in 4 hours I could visit Juliet's house and see a little bit around the city??? Please let me know. Thanks
Okay you lucky people who will be in the city of love for Valentine's day this year - where should one stay? Where should one have dinner? Planning to be there next year with my sweetie.
Hi friends, I am not sure is this question for this forum, but hope for help. In summer with my son plan Alta via 1 trek, finish in Belluno. Can not find appropriate info about bus belluno-verona(time table, price). Nice day!
Hi, I'm going from Verona to Borzano on 29 Dec and planning to come back on 2nd Jan by train, and looking at tranitalia.com to book the tickets. However, all the trains on the 2nd shows "N/A" instead of fares. I wonder if it means they are sold out or trains are not in operation for the new year. According to my Italian friend, IC should be in operation but he has no idea about regional ones. I'd greatly appreciate any comments and suggestions on this.
In a few weeks, I have a 90 minute wait at the Porta Nuova train station at around 7PM. I've read here that the station can hold luggage, and I would love to get out of the station and see even just a tiny bit of the city. I was thinking I could take a quick taxi ride to go somewhere for a half hour or 45 minutes. Is this at all possible, or am I nuts? :) Any comments or suggestions would be really appreciated! Thanks!
I am staying in centro Verona in early December. how do I get to the Giardino Giusti and how do I find out opening times.

My father (age 70) and his friend (age 66) are with me. we are attending the Marmomacc Fair on 22nd and 23rd Sept (daytime about 9:30 to 8:00 hrs or so). We are staying 3 night near the Arena (residence Castlevicchio), and leave for Venice on 24th. Please suggest what I can do in Verona on these 3 days (mainly in evenings and mornings till 9:30 or 10:00)? and how? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to celebrate my anniversary with my wife and I want to eat lunch and dinner in two different restaurants in Verona. What I'm looking if for a not touristy, not crowded, not tourist trap, good food, with decent price where locals eat. I don't care if they speak English I know a little Italian. I want to experience the Italian food but looking in other web sites makes the places popular and crowded and I think sometimes best score are not real ones. I hope you understand what I mean. I don't care to pay a little more for excellent food what I don't like are tourist traps. If you have eat good food and decent prices in Verona please share. Thank you Daniel
Hi, We are travelling to Verona from Treviso on the train and want to stay overnight to see the Opera at the end of August. Is it better to stay in Verona, or is there a good, but reasonable hotel on the train route? Also, what time will the opera finish (Romeo & Juliet) and what public transport will there be available? Answers to any of these questions would be great. Greta
We are a group of 6 people looking at spending a few days in northern Italy. We are coming from Munich second week in October with our own transportation and looking to enjoy some good wine, good food and see the sights. We were thinking of using Verona as a base but are open to suggestions. Is this too much time to base out of Verona? We would appreciate any itinerary suggestions based on this length of time and any accommodation suggestions for this many people with van parking available. Thanks in advance.
