Will be in Verona in January for 2 nights. After ground floor or accommodation with a lift as my wife is in a wheel chair. Need help with pensions/B&B's/pensions within walking distance of the train station. Any ideas of what to see and do would be appreciated and also need information on bus/train times & prices to Bolzano Thanks guys.
Verona's railway station is quite some way from its historical centre. The walk will probably take you about 15 minutes to the Arena (he 'start' of the historical centre), and includes crossing a large and busy roundabout. I can't recommend anywhere specific as I did not stay in Verona but, as before, www.booking.com and www.venere.com are the two sites you should look at for accommodation...they have excellent mapping. Verona's historical centre is quite small and largely flat. It will be easier for you to get around with a wheelchair than either Milan (flat but large and very busy) or Venice (much smaller but crowded, stepped bridges etc).

For train times, details, fares Verona>Bolzano (Bozen) look at trenitalia.com/homepage_en.h... Plenty of direct departures per day, journey time from around 1.5 hours, one-way fare from 9.35 euro. Don't look for your visit dates (same for Milan/Venice)....data is not held on site way in advance. Just look for the same day of the week next week. Times and fares won't change much, if at all, before you come.

As in my reply to your question in the Rome Forum, google "disabled accommodation verona". My comments re the ease of wheelchair-ing on roads/pavements/sidewalks also apply.
