Does anyone knows where to sleep in Vernazza without spending more than 70 euros?? Thank you!
informagiovani-italia.com/os... there does seem to be at least one hostel in vernazza and i have heard that if you arive early you just look for signs saying effeti camere in pizza shop windows etc - many families have just one or two rooms they let out - but you know that is a bit risky

Yes, I saw a few 'room to let' signs when I wandered (in late October). As Craic says, that's pretty risky even out of high season (the CT villages are not huge places, and are very popular nowadays). Here's the Vernazza 'hostel' website: http://www.rinarooms.hostel.com/ but it won't give me any availability. It's listed on www.hostelworld.com as well, but a random search for a few dates doesn't show any availability there either. It only has two rooms so may well be booked out months and months in advance. You will find it easier to find reasonably-priced accommodation in La Spezia; trains to the CT villages from La Sp are frequent and cheap (or you can walk between villages, as long as you have a CT pass).
