We are spending one night in Vernazza late September. From reading the posts it appears that parking could be a problem. Would we be better off parking at the La Spezia train station?
Vernazza - has a decent size lot 500 meters above town. A shuttle bus connects the lot to town every 15 minutes. Next time I drive, this is where I'll head to. There is a huge public parking garage in Riomaggiore. You can walk or train to the rest of Cinque Terre from there easily. Since you have the car, don't pay for a train from La Spezia. It's a gorgeous drive from La Spezia to Riomaggiore. Have a good trip.
