Amsterdam to Venlo

We would like to attend the Floriade in May, 2012 but we will be based in Amsterdam and it is a 2 hour journey from Amsterdam to Venlo by train. Is there a bus from Amsterdam to Venlo and if so, how long does it take?

    The bus would take forever if there is one. There is a train every 30 minutes to Eindhoven where you change (a cross platform change) to Venlo. Travel time is 2.05 hours and the fare is 41.40 euros.

    Even by car it is almost a 2 hour ride...

    Train is the best way from Amsterdam. The part between Utrecht and Eindhoven takes you over one nicest views from the rail roads in The Netherlands.
