While I haven't stayed in this particular apartment, we did rent an apartment in Venice for 5 weeks. We did this through Haldis, which is an excellent company and who provided a very good service. Our apartment was in the Rialto area, literally five minutes from the Bridge. I cannot quite locate the Ca' Rialto apartment but it seems to me as though it is in the sestriere of San Polo. I see that they mention a "well-stocked supermarket" only a few steps away - I am at a loss as to where this supermarket might be. The best supermarket we found was on the other side of the Grand Canal on the way to the station. An easy enough walk but not that easy that one could pop into if one needed a pint of milk in a hurry. We wandered all over San Polo and I cannot recollect any type of supermarket, let alone a well-stocked one. Btw, I don't know where you are from but the word supermarket means one thing to one nationality and another to another - here in the UK, the Italian use of the word would equate to what we call a corner grocery store. You will need a very good map for Venice and you will find that what the locals call a five minute walk will take you 15! I have seen your apartment listed on many sites, so you should do a comparison shop - it seems to be very expensive but then that is the adjective to attach to everything Venetian. If we hadn't rented an apartment we wouldn't have been able to eat, let alone stay for the length of time. If you have the actual address, then I could be a little more specific about the location.

Have a good visit! 66 steps would get to me after a while but then, you look to be younger than me!!
