Im going to Venice from Bristol 23rd April for 5 days. Is there anyone that wants to meet up and explore the place together? Just don't want to be walking around alday on my own and sitting having coffee on my own. Haven't booked anywhere to stay yet either. Christine

Hope you can find someone to hook up with, but for myself, I love exploring Venice by myself, it's a safe city to just wander around, and I've felt quite comfortable as a lone female stopping off for a coffee or meal by myself. Although I usually stay in hotels/B&B's in Venice ( check out Booking.com, Venere.com, Hostelbookers.com) I stayed at Sweet Dreams Hostel once, where I met other solo travellers, and spent some time with these visiting Burano/Torcello and meeting up for meals/drinks.
