I've recently returned from Rome. Just after the ticket barriers in the Vatican Museum, there is a white sculpture of a pope - looked a bit like JP II - standing behind a man with brown hair. The pope's hand is held out with the palm up. I think it's supposed to symbolise how the church supports ordinary people against adversity. Can anyone tell me what it is called.
