We will be getting off the train in Varenna and going to the ferry stop to take ferry to Bellagio. How far is the train station from the ferry - we do not wish to walk - is there a bus or a taxi - we will be arriving on a Sunday.
The train is a walk down a steep hill to the ferry and the waterfront. There are taxis that are usually at the station waiting and if you have luggage I recommend the taxi. Cheap enough. If you are returning by the same train...here's a tip I wish I had known...buy your ticket at an agency to leave Varenna . There is no ticket office at the station...only a computerized machine that does not speak any English and was very confusing!
