Any suggestions on travel options from Varanasi to Dharamsala. I would like to save time as i will be running from one program to the other - though i dislike rushing in India. Some suggested i backtrack to Delhi and take the overnight bus from Majnukatilla. Is there a bus or train from V to D?
There is no bus or train from Varanasi to Dharamshala. Instead you can follow these routes: Varanasi - Delhi - Chandigarh - Dharamshala OR Varanasi - Amritsar (by Train) and then to Dharamshala (in bus or taxi)

I dont think You wil get any Bus from Majnu ka Tila It would be better to get bus from ISBT (Kashmere Gate) Bus stop, or You can get from Cannought place they go Direct Dharmsala, they have nice Volvo busses have a nice trip
