Hi, I'm heading out on a P&O cruise to Vila and am interested in going on a "Shore Excursion" called "Reef and sports Fishing", but there is little info online about it. As a keen fisherman I'd like to take the chance to fish these waters, even if just for a few lazy hours in the mid-morning. Has anyone been on or heard anything about this excursion? Or alternatively does anyone know what operator P&O cruises use? Cheers
I am thinking about visiting Vanuatu next June. I would like to do some snorkelling, visit the volcano, look around generally. Does anyone have any tips on tour companies and easy places to snorkel and recommendations generally?

I have three days in Tanna and I am hoping to visit some of the less touristy kastom villages. I will hire a local guide and vehicle if needs be or trek. Can anyone recommend any villages that can be considered more traditional and less touristy. Also is it possible to stay overnight in one of these villages. I am fine with rough conditions. Thanks, Matt

Hello everyone I am planning a one week-trip to Vanuatu after a longer one in New Caledonia by the end of February 09. My friends and I would fly to Port Vila and would like to see Efaté and, if possible, another island (which one do you recommend if one has only little time?) Now to my question: Someone told me that recently there are big problems with crime. In the Vanuatu Daily News I even read an article (from Jan 08) that linked Port Vila to Port Moresby, saying that crime must be stopped before it is getting as bad as in Moresby (a place I'd never dare to go). So please, can someone tell me what the current situation is regarding to crime? Thanks for your replies.
