We will be in Valencia next week. We'll have a car and I am looking for some interesting places, towns, vinyard villages etc, which we can reach by car and come back to Valencia the same day. I would appericiate to get your recommendations.
I need to take a taxi tomorrow from Valencia North train station to Rocafort. According to google maps the journey is around 14kms....can anyone give me a rough idea?
where could I find good tapas and paella not for tourist?
I don't want a microwaved paella!
I was wondering if anybody could help us. We are traveling to valencia on the 9th July - 11th July this year and am hoping if somebody could help us decide where to stay and where to go.
We are hoping to go to the beach and are hoping for a good time out and about. A selection of good nightclubs preferably with dance music and maybe a bit of hip hop.
If there are any special dance djs performing that weekend, we would be very interested in.
nice women and a nice friendly atmosphere is paramount and value for money is always good.
If spain are in the world cup final u will be able to spot us a mile away as 11 guys will all be wearing the spanish t-shirts!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance
is there a left luggage office at the airport?
My boyfriend and I have booked tickets to Benicassim 2010 and are searching for somewhere to stay other than a camp site, where we can get a good nights sleep! From what we can see, all the hotels in Benicassim itself are booked up.
What town nearby would you recommend we stay in? Is a hotel/hostel the only option or would an apartment or guesthouse be advisable too?
30-something American living temporarily in Valencia...
Seeking mellow, friendly, welcoming to foreigners but not touristy types of places - cafes/bars/lounges that aren't packed to the gils with local teenagers. Or smoke.
I'm in Valencia for 4 weeks by the end off April 2010, taking a spanish course.
I'm looking for a place to stay. If anyone knows people that have a nice clean room available, please let me know!
Greetings from beautifull Bruges, Belgium
Hi, I shall come to Valencia during November for a few days during the week (unfortunately I can't stay over the weekend), how does it look like for the nightlife during the week in this time of the year, and any suggestion you can give me? Thanks for any tip, zooropa_68
Anyone know of any good ones in Valencia?
Hi we might drive to valencia tomorrow wondering which beaches we can find by car around that area.. coming from Barcelona.
A few questions...I live in the U.S. Philadelphia, which airlines offer the best rates for transatlantic flights from Philadelphia, New York, or Newark?
How is the weather in Valencia during the last few weeks of September?
How are the city beaches in Valencia (hopefully, nicer than Barcelona)?
Which towns close to Valencia are nicest (I like old seaside towns with picturesque views and old town center (like Sitges); I need to get there by train from Valencia...
Lastly, what is the best way to go...stay in Valencia (any b&bs?) or stay outside of Valencia city (need place to be accessible by train and the town itself should have the ambiance described above)...
Also, are the eatteries on the beach still open in late September?
Thanks so much for previewing my question!
Is there a sports shop in town where I can buy the Valencia basketball strip?
I am coming over next week for the Arsenal game. Can anybody please tell me if I will be able to buy tickets from the ground on the Friday or do I need to wait till the day of the game?
I read on another Web site that on the beach near Valencia (wherever the bus drops you off, I assume) you can rent chairs, and buy food/drink... is this still true, and if it is about how much are the chairs, and are they generally secure? I'll most likely be alone, so I don't want to avoid going in the water afraid my bus pass will get stolen!
Is there anywhere to buy discounted tickets for some of the touristy attractions in Valencia, like the City of Arts and Sciences and L'Oceanogràfic
My trip timeline has been moved up... I'll be taking my vacation in August. Anything particularly interesting I should know?
I'm going to visit a friend of mine in Italy in September and want to also visit Valencia. Are there any festivals or other special events going on? I don't know yet if I'm going to visit Italy or Spain first, so any information will be very helpful.
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of any photography workshops running over the summer. I fancy the idea of visiting Valencia for 10days, and taking a course for a week.
Suggestions please! :)
Hi, I'm an Italian girl and I'm planning an holiday in Valencia. During my journey there will be the Superbike World Championship at Ricardo Tormo. I will be staying in an hotel at the center of Valencia and I really really don't know how to get to the Circuit in Cheste. I've search the Internet and I've found Bunol bus services and some Renfe regional train that can take me to Cheste. There is any other way to get STRAIGHT to the Circuit? Thanks a lot!!
I recently posted another topic about getting to Valencia and such. Now I'm here and having a great time! But now I have another dilemma.
I am going to the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and from what I see, their gym facilities are not that great, and I'm really itching to work out and work off all the good food I've eaten lately. Does anyone know of a good gym just to casually be able to workout a few times a week? Also, having it be somewhat close to the university area would be a plus, though I don't mind a light jog on my way to the gym. Any recommendations would be most helpful. Thanks!
In a few months i will be going to Valencia for three days.
And now i´m looking for a nice hostel in the centre of Valencia.
I will be studying abroad for 6 months in Valencia at Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and leaving in a couple of weeks. Though I have been assigned a mentor, it's not really working out and someone recommended that I try asking my questions here.
I will be arriving with 2 large suitcases and a carry-on. For the first couple of nights while I look for an apartment, I will be staying at the Purple Nest Hostel on La Plaza Tetuan. Does anyone know the best and somewhat most convenient mode of transportation to get there from the airport? I was considering the metro, but with so much luggage it may be a bit of a pain. Then again, maybe I'm wrong.
Also, if anyone is familiar with the university campus/area, let me know because I would have a lot of questions for you. I would have some good questions like what kinds of banks are in the area. Their website does not provide too much practical information.
So if anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it.
hello there, is there a bus or train or metro to reach the area of my hotel from the airport?
I'm gonna stay at:

Plaza Tribunal De Las Aguas 5

i will be in valencia weekend 20/21september and would like to buy 3 football tickets for the above match - any help from where I can buy them preferably online
also i will be staying at calle ruben vela ( corner with avenida del doctor waksman ) is it safe to walk to the city centre and how long does it take ?

We have, perhaps, chosen the worst time to try to park in Valencia-Grand Prix week. However, we arrive on Thursday 21st Aug and are there for four nights.
Can anyone suggest an out-of-the-way parking place?
We are staying in the centre but don't mind having to catch a bus to where we are parked.
7 of us including kids and cases! are arriving by hire car at Valencia airport at 7:30 on the 16th and want to catch the Valencia train to Barcelona at 8:35.. which would be the best/easiest way. When I looked on various sites they said it would be about 15euros by taxi so obviously 30euros for 2 taxis but when I contacted one of the taxi firms by email www.taxivalencia.com they quoted 30euros each taxi ie 60euros for the two..
can anyone help with some suggestions..
Going for a long weekend in Valencia, in September. Have a group of friends booked into the Beatriz Rey Don Jaime Hotel which is in the Avenida Baleares.
However, will we be too far from the centre, nightlife, restaurants, etc?
If so, can anyone recommend another hotel nearer to the "action"! Along the same price...we're currently paying 95 Euros each.
Hi, I have heard that Malverossa beach is the most popular in Valencia. I am planning to stay in August 7-10 days in Valencia. It will be a summer holliday so I would like to spend most of the time on the beach - swimming in the sea, but I also want to sea more of Valencia beautiful architecture. I would like to stay in a hotel close to a clean beach in Valencia, where I can also find some link towards "Yellow bus" for El Saler beach and access to a public transport to the old city of Valencia. I need a room that is not more than 70 Euros per day... is it possible to find?
Hi, I'm looking for a reasonably priced hotel near the Ciutat de la Justicia (within about 10 mins walking). I'll be visiting for 5 days in October, most of the hotels I've tried are either booked out already or are very expensive. Just wondered if anyone has local or insider info that I'm missing as I don't know the area at all and would appreciate your tips. Many thanks, Anne Marie
