Weather and Accommodation ideas for 2 weeks at the end of September 2007

Hi My boyfirend and I are looking for places to spend two weeks at the end of September where it will be warm (22-26 degrees celcius or similar). Would Valencia fit the bill? Is there rain this time of year or strong winds and cold nights? We would like to stay somewhere that is not a backpackers place but a cehap but clean hotel or better still double room self-catering apartment near a beach. Any ideas? All help welcomed many thanks k
