    • Day Trip from Annecy to Mont Blanc

      Annecy 9 hours ago

We will be in Annecy for a little more than a week in early September. Is it possible to take a day trip up Mont Blanc from there by public transport. Is there a public tour that makes that trip in a day. What other towns would be interesting for day trips from Annecy. Thanks for the help.

    • Romantic places in Lyon

      Lyon Yesterday

I'm taking a road trip with my girlfriend, and am planning on proposing to her when we visit Lyon, as I was living there as a student when we first met.

Are there any particularly good places for this that anyone can recommend? My first thought was fourviere, but would happily hear more suggestions as I have not been back since 2008!

      Thanks!

    • Quick help for my tour to lyon

      Lyon Jul 3, 2014 at 1:01 AM

In lyon I wish to just visit Parc de la tete d'or and the presquile(walk by lake and view nature). I will be coming from clermont ferrand..so just wanted to check if these two places are doable in 4 hours to 6 hours?

It would also be great if someone could tell me the route to all these places via public transport. finding someone to speak in english seems tough here don't know about there.

      Grenoble to Val-d'Isere?

by gilescorey Online Now Feb 13, 2012 at 12:23 PM

      Hi everyone,

Looking at skiing Tignes/Val d'Isere for the first time Easter week.

I was wondering how the drive is from Grenoble? I'm trying to save some cash, and being a holiday week it's a bit pricey.

Or any other ideas or satellite areas I should consider staying?

      Thanks,

      GC

I am going to be working in Val d'isere for 5 months and any information on the resort would be helpful like how cold does it get? I`m there from Dec-May. What is there apart from the skiing to do in the resort? Does anyone know if there is a good hairdressers? Is it expensive to shop there? Any advice at all would be helpful, thank you
